If you have ever wanted your own blog because you think you can make money with it then you would be correct. But you may ask yourself how do you get started? I mean, the blogging world may be a very strange and intimidating place to those who are new to it.
To answer the question, in reality, it is much easier than you could even imagine to get started blogging. You don't even need any technical skills at all. There are plenty of free blogging platforms out there to get started on and when you are ready, learning the skills needed to host your own blog is not hard to do.
There are only two blogging platforms that I would recommend, mainly because they are the simplest to use and understand. Those would be Wordpress.com and Blogger.com, and Wordpress is the favorite as it has the most free templates, plug ins, and widgets that any blogger could possibly want.
So without going into further technicalities, let me get back to the point of this article. Blogging money.
Now that you have your very own blog, how do you ever get it to produce money?
Very easily after some effort on your part.
There are many different ways you can do this but I'm only going to give you a short list of what I know as the different ways to get your blog to make money is really only limited to your imagination and creativity.
* Turn your blog into a "product review" website and give reviews on different products that you are an affiliate of and promote it with adwords advertising.
* Promote products directly on your blog by writing posts about the product, its benefits to the consumer, and its cost.
* Give away free information or downloads from you blog in exchange for the ever elusive email opt-in. Not only can you build a reputation for having quality products, you will also be building a very valuable list of prospects.
* Use private label rights products to resale or better yet, to create your own information products to promote & sell them directly from your blog.
* Use plr products for blog posts and pages. Private label right articles save you valuable time since it is ready made content. Just be sure to re-write some of it so its original.
As I said, this is only a short list of the things you can do. With some creativity and a little effort, I'm sure you can expand on this exponentially. You get the idea.
The two ways that you can profit most with a blog is through affiliate marketing and creating your own products to sell. With Affiliate marketing, you get a commission for the products people buy through you personal referral link and is probably the easiest one of all as it does not require that you handle any physical or digital products. No storage, no credit card processors, no customer service, and no having to upload anything to a server. The best and only way to go if you are using a free blogging platform.
You drive traffic to your blog by writing posts. Your visitors click the links you provide and are sent directly to the merchants website. As an affiliate, its not your job to do the selling its the merchants. Your job is to write an appealing post so that the prospect is interested enough to find out more.
When you create your own products to sell, things get a little more complicated but not much. You have to decide whether you are going to offer a physical product like a DVD, bound book or report, an audio CD or if you are going to keep everything in digital format. You can always do both but I recommend that you keep things in digital format. No inventory, no shipping, no printing or production costs other than your time to produce the first copy.
Save it as a file, back it up, and you have it forever to use over and over again. When creating your own products, the only way to go is to get yourself some private label rights with resale rights attached.
You do not have to use these articles, reports, and ebooks verbatim. As a matter of fact, its highly recommended that you rewrite most of it or combine different copy to create your own unique products. Don't think of the rewriting process as a daunting task. Its not. Just read the material and write what you have read into your own words.
Best of all, when you create and sell your own products, you get to keep 100% of all the profits. There is no one else to share your hard earned money with.
So get to it. Times a wasting and you have already done enough of that.
Web author, writer, and all around information junkie. Just ask me a question and I probably know the answer. No kidding. I've been publishing online since 2004 and there is still a lot to learn.
