For those of us that have been in the business and around the business we know that finding your niche is one of the most important aspects to actually making money online. A niche is a specific demand for a product and or service, and of course the term marketing can be simply defined as the opportunity to buy or sell a product or service. In turn, a product or service is being sold to the people who are most interested in that particular product or service. More often than not businesses use niche marketing. For instance; a company that produces and develops laptops and laptop accessories may market things such as peripherals, mice, touch pads or speakers to a consumer that will use these products. So what's so spectacular about niche marketing? Well for the most part, people get into niche marketing because you really can stretch your dollar to the limit and spend less money on advertising budgets. In these cases it costs less to market the product or service or a specific market than it does to advertise to a broader more generalized market.

For example, if you have designed something like Pet Paws pet trimmer then, you would probably want to market that product to people that are interested in dogs, animals or pets. What you wouldn't do is advertise a pet trimmer to car and auto enthusiasts, yes there is a chance they *might* have an interest in Fido, but for the most part you want to utilize what you know rather than the what ifs. You know for sure that people interested in pets would have a higher ranking in being interested in your product, whereas the auto enthusiasts are "maybes" which leads to a lower ranking. It's all about knowledge and using what you know to get what you want. This is the time to be smart in your actions! Niche marketing is one of the most efficient and effective ways to advertise and sell specific products or services to a specific audience.

Of course there is also another important way for you to advertise your niche; this is through niche blogging! If you're going to try niche blogging it's really essential that you figure out what you want your niche to be beforehand. Make sure you do your research. Obviously you don't want to pick something over-saturated but you also don't want to pick a niche, service or product that no one has heard of and that no one has any use for. This is not only a waste of time, but of money as well, and remember, niche marketing is all about stretching the dollar as much as you can. Now ideally you should pick a niche to blog about that you actually have some knowledge about and something you are passionate about. You will need to consider some major components before starting your blog, these elements are listed below.

Isolating Your Interests - When a blogger is thinking about doing something like this, he will most likely want to consider writing about something that he has an actual personal interest in, this is an important facet because a blogger who is passionate and knowledgeable about his or her niche or subject will have an easy time coming up with ideas for their blog and will most likely become more successful than a person that wrote about something they have no interest in and no knowledge about. The point is to find what "drives" you and to take advantage of it. Your readers (when they start visiting your website) will sense your passion for what you are writing about! If you feel humdrum about a product, it will shine through within your writing as being boring.

Competition - Once you have chosen what you want to write about it's time to begin evaluating your neighboring rivals. This includes viewing other blogs covering the same subject matter as your blog. Not only will this give you a good indication of whether a niche is already saturated with enough informational blogs on this topic but it will also give you examples of the quality of other blogs, how people write, what they write about, etc. You the blogger can then make an informed decision about whether you can or can't compete for blog traffic within that specific niche.

Consider The Main Purpose Of The Blog - People create blogs for all sorts of reasons such as financial compensation, personal use or to promote something. People who are beginning a blog for individual use may only want to consider their own interests when starting a blog because they are not usually looking for high blog traffic. However, bloggers who are making a blog for intentions of generating a profit or campaigning a cause, do have to consider factors such as the ability to render blog traffic. In these cases the blogger should choose a subject which appeals a large audience. Additionally, the Internet should not already be supersaturated with blogs on this topic because it will likely be difficult for the new blog to garner a share of blog traffic. In The End, blog proprietors should consider the quality of the blog they are capable of producing on a particular subject. The blogger should choose a subject where he is confident he cannot only make frequent posts but also ensure these posts are original, enlightening and interesting!
