You have a responsibility as an affiliate mentor to provide your downline with the tools they need to succeed. If you are part of a quality affiliate program, they no doubt offer you marketing materials to grow your business. Do you pass these helpful materials on? If you are truly concerned about your downline's success, you should.

What should you pass on to your downline? The answer is whatever is available from your affiliate program. Make all marketing materials available to them. Some affiliate members will be comfortable using one type of marketing material. Others may be more comfortable using another kind.

Take hard copy marketing materials such as brochures, pamphlets, and product cards. Some of your downline may perform a lot of offline marketing. They may attend trade shows, business fairs, or perform in-home sales presentations. They need these materials for their offline marketing initiatives. Continually provide them up-to-date marketing materials of this kind. Don't let them be caught with outdated material. You don't want them looking like they are not current about their affiliate product.

Some of your downline members may only perform online marketing activities. They will need you to make available to them other marketing materials to accommodate this. These may be pre-written articles for their web blogs and web sites. You may want to provide them e-mail marketing scripts you accessed from the affiliate parent.

Today, affiliate programs offer their members many marketing materials proven to bring in sales. One of these marketing materials is video content for your blog or website. It's wise to use this yourself for your marketing initiatives. Test them out to see how they add to your own affiliate business. Then pass them on to your downline. These video presentations can be online sales presentations an affiliate can use to replace offline ones they may be uncomfortable performing.

Video marketing materials are especially great for new affiliate downline members. They often are unsure what to include on their websites and blogs aside from text and banner links. They may have yet to engage in article writing and articles submissions to article distribution services. While they are planning other marketing initiatives, they can use video telecasts to add some excitement to their websites. This can help them build sales quicker in the early days of their affiliate business.

Maybe your affiliate program provides e-books that you can give away free to potential customers. They are a great way to pass on useful information and build goodwill. Of course, every e-book will have links to the affiliate parent via your affiliate code. It's a great way to build your sales. You need to pass this kind of material on to your downline. Your tier two sales depend on you making these marketing materials available to them.

Marketing materials are important to you and your downline because they are a way to offer your customers in-depth information. You cannot rely solely on text and banner links. Yes, they are a necessary part of your business. However, marketing materials let you do so much more. Those with more than a passing interest in your affiliate products crave information marketing materials provide them.

Have you written a report on an affiliate product topic? Have you branded it? Why not make it available to your downline as a marketing tool. They will build credibility in their customers' eyes. This will lead to greater primary sales for themselves and those multiple tier two sales you are looking for. Writing reports that are loaded with useful information are great marketing materials. Don't keep them to yourself. Remember, as goes your growing downline so goes your affiliate business.

Provide marketing materials to help your downline be marketers that are more productive. Take marketing materials provided by your affiliate program and learn them inside out. When you fully understand how various marketing tools work, pass them on. Together you and your downline can use marketing materials to further the entire team's sales.
