There are many different types of cancer which can occur at any age like lung cancer, breast cancer, blood cancer, prostate cancer, skin cancer and many more. The most common cancer found in women is breast cancer. It is usually seen in the age group of 30 to 40 years, and because there are many symptoms, you should see your doctor for a proper diagnosis. There are many treatment centers, but some of the best centers deliver high quality treatment using state of the art equipment and therapies which help to cure patients more rapidly enabling them to return to their normal lives sooner.

Many times it happens that patients who were cured of breast cancer may again become a victim of the same disease. It is important to receive the appropriate treatment based on the diagnosis. Recurrent breast cancer can be treated combination with a combination of therapies. Common therapies that oncologist practices may use:

Chemotherapy

It kills the breast cancer cells with the aid of medicines injected into the body. Some of the major side effects are loss of hair and unable to breastfeed. There may be some minor hormonal changes too, but when comparing to the trauma that breast cancer, these side-effects are negligible.

Radiation Therapy

There are two kinds of radiation therapy. In modulated radiation, thin beams of radiation are projected on the tumour in a three-dimensional pattern. Image guided radiation therapy is combined with intensity modulated therapy resulting in the best therapy all round.

Surgery

The tumour can also be removed from the breast through surgery. Removing the tumour from the body can help eliminate the ability for the cancerous cells to reproduce or spread in the body.

With the help of these therapies, it is possible to cure cancer. These therapies help to give a new life to every patient. Selecting an oncologist for treatment is also very crucial as the success of therapy also depends upon the expertise of the doctor.

After Treatment

After a person has been treated and cured of breast cancer there should be proper discipline and guidelines that should be followed to gain stamina and metabolism. Almost every therapy leaves some side-effects on the body; therefore, patients may feel weak and lack energy even while performing routine tasks. Their diet should include all the vital nutrients necessary to keep the body fit and healthy. Physical activity is very important in the curing process, and receiving care and support from family members can help regain confidence for the patient. It is important to maintain a healthy body and; therefore, it is essential to follow all guidelines from the doctor so that cancer does not re-occur in the body.
