Kratom (Mitragyna Speciosa) is a herb from South East Asia. For centuries, it has been used for many purposes around the world. People of south-east Asian countries like Thailand, Malaysia used to chew 10 to 60 leaves of the plant. That was the traditional way to ingest kratom. However, today, kratom has come a long way from eastern world to the western. In fact, it has also made a remarkable progress in terms of forms and shelf life. Presently, kratom is more popular as kratom powder, kratom capsules, and kratom extracts. The powder form is quite complex and time-consuming, hence we required something more potent, convenient and handy. In this post, we are going to discuss how to use the pills and extracts;
Kratom Capsules
The pills got a pre-measured amount of pure kratom powder within a gelatin capsule. One doesn’t have to worry about getting the right measurement every time. The only calculation that you have to do is the number of pills you will be swallowing it. No bitter aftertaste. No hassle. All you need is a glass of water or any other drink that you prefer and your kratom capsules.
Kratom Extracts
Kratom extracts, on the other hand, is even more futuristic. Generally, the powder is put into boiling water to extract the alkaloids in it. Then, the extra water is allowed to evaporate. What is left behind is a substantial semi-solid paste of kratom. It looks like blackish resin. The idea is to get an alkaloid rich product. However, it is more popular as kratom tinctures or oils where the powder is soaked in liquid for almost a month to extract and capture all its rich alkaloids.
Which One Is More User-Friendly & Better?
All the forms are made considering users' convenience and to increase the longevity of the product. It is quite hard to compare them side by side as they have their own set of advantages. Yet, if one has to compare, then one can point out the below-mentioned differences;
• It is always easy to swallow in a number of pills but if someone wants to enjoy it slowly perhaps in a cup of tea, then pills are not feasible. However, on the other hand, you can use kratom extracts (tincture) any way you like. All you have to do is to add the desired number of drops to your drink or any other recipes or just add it to a cup of water and drink.
• The tincture is more potent than any other form because it is the only form where alkaloids come saturated. You need to add several grams for the desired superior effect. However, with extracts, you just add a few more drops.
Generally, every person has his own tolerance level which determines the ideal dosage for proper effects. Anyone who is new should start with small amounts and with 100% organic kratom powder or capsules. However, regular users with a high tolerance level would find the extract or tincture more potent and useful.
