The Internet is no longer to be missed in today's society. One needs it for work, study and leisure. It is also a hole in the market and there are many different providers and forms of internet. Comparing the types of internet is an important step before you quit a subscription. But what shape fits best with you?
The network of the future might be something for you?
Fiber optic ensures a fast and stable connection and is therefore also seen as the network of the future. Fiberglass uses a fiber that is as thin as hair and made of a special kind of glass. The high bandwidth and distance of the connection ensure high speeds, which means that download and upload capabilities are as high. In some places, the Internet speed may reach up to 500 Mb. At present, a limited number of fiber optic providers are available, so it is not yet available everywhere. Whatever a disadvantage of glass fiber is that prices are relatively high. For a free internet subscription, you will soon pay € 40, - and for one in one package approximately € 45, -.
Choice and price an important point?
ADSL stands for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line, it is a digital connection that uses a telephone line. With ADSL, downloading is faster than uploading. When we compare the Internet to the Fiber Fiber Network, we see that the internet speed here is a disadvantage. With ADSL there is only a maximum of 80 Mb. Although most providers offer only 50 Mb and the speed depends on the distance between the district and your home. Hence the maximum speed is not available anywhere. What is an advantage with ADSL is that you have the freedom of choice of the provider and it is available almost everywhere. In addition, the price is beneficial. You already have an internet subscription for € 20, - and if you pay about € 30, you can already have one in one package. This, of course, depends on your provider.
Provider no point, as long as you have fast internet?
For cable internet, you will need a modem that will make the connection between your computer and the cable. Frequently, the same cable is used in the neighborhood, but this does not affect your own internet speed. In addition, the distance between the district center and your home does not affect your internet speed. Internet speeds are offered up to 200 Mb. A disadvantage of cable internet is that you have no freedom of choice in your provider and that a TV subscription is required.
Which one suits you best?
All in all, it's about what your wishes and preferences are. If the price does not matter to you and if you need many MB's, you can opt for fiber optics. If the price is an important point for you, then ADSL might be a better option. If you want fast internet but does not make the offerer so much, cable internet is also a very good option. This allows you to decide for yourself what are the best options for you and what kind of internet is best for you.
