Slow down, stay indoors and Limit physical activity, especially in the middle of the day, when it is hottest.

Stay in cool locations, Postpone outdoor games and activities.

Take at least one cool shower or bath daily or refresh your skin with a wet towel several times a day.

Take frequent breaks if you must work outdoors in summers but at least we can protect ourselves from direct exposure to sun by wearing cap, hat, stall or headgear.

You are also advised to turn off the lights and any electrical appliances you’re not using-you don’t want them to generate heat during a heatwave!

Listen to alerts on the radio, TV and social media about keeping cool.

Check on family, friends and neighbours who do not have air conditioning, who spend much of their time alone or who are more likely to be affected by the heat.
